As the snow falls outside, teams are busy framing the interior walls of all the spaces where future care will happen in the PCBH. Every day, hundreds of steel studs are set in place, followed closely by electricians, plumbers and HVAC technicians who are adding in all the building’s infrastructure and utilities. In some areas of the building, this “rough-in” phase is complete, and gypsum wallboard is being installed. In other areas, paint is starting to be applied to the walls…hard to believe since the building has only just been enclosed from the elements!

The exterior of the building is also progressing with surfaces and openings being completed and measured for their final finish. In many places, the building will have colored metal siding and tall exterior glass walls. These areas must be carefully prepared and have their dimensions verified so that the final assemblies fit perfectly. Our team is also looking forward to the installation of windows in the building, which will help ensure the beautiful interior of the building stays warm and dry.
